A group of humanitarian and development practitioners from various sectors around the world (WASH, Health, Nutrition, Food Security, Livelihoods, Value Chain Analysis, Cash Based Interventions and Markets, Social Protection, Education, Monitoring and Evaluation, Resource Mobilization, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency, Capacity Building, Disability and Gender Inclusion, Child Protection) came together in 2020 to form a network of available professionals to respond to calls for consultancy work in their areas of expertise. The practitioners worked as individual consultants when they did not have full time employment and continued consulting and learning from each other. Their goal was to share their experiences and develop into a force that would improve people's lives by collaborating to develop and implement creative solutions to significant social and economic challenges. Over time, a consulting group (Global Impact Solutions Consulting Group) comprising full-time, and associate professionals was established.
